Greek Mythology

In Ms. Minnicks 6th grade english class, we are currently working on Greek Mythology. We are reading, summarizing, and interpreting tales from D’Aulaires Book of Greek Myths, preparing for a Mythology exam in late Febuary. Soon, we will read and study chapter 11 in Homers Odessey, further preparing for the test. Last year, almost everybody got a medal in the exam, and this year, we are hoping that everyone will get one. We are working hard like Hephaestus, and are aiming for the best.

  1. Think about any tropes or images or metaphors or events, like the sailors letting the wind out of the bag, that re-appear in any other movies, video games, TV shows, etc.
